Kia Donates $1 Million to DonorsChoose.org
Here at Bill Jacobs Kia, we are very supportive of the Joliet community and many different organizations within it. We pride ourselves on being a part of the community and supporting non-profit and other groups in it. As part of that, we are incredibly excited to announce that Kia Motors America has promised $1 million to public schools as part of a partnership with DonorsChoose.org. Our dealership is very proud to be a part of such a generous company and we are excited about this new partnership.
DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that allows for anybody to donate to students in need and they are very happy to be partnered with Kia Motors as part of the first-ever national partnership with an auto brand. The donation made by Kia makes for a Double Your Impact campaign that will help to fund 50 percent of classroom projects near Kia dealerships across the country. We’re excited that the Joliet area and other surrounding communities will benefit from this donation. While we are located in Joliet, we are the preferred dealer of Tinley Park Kia shoppers and Aurora, IL Kia customers.
Some examples of projects that will receive funding are book requests, microscopes, field trips, and musical instruments. DonorsChoose.org allows for anyone to go to the website and donate to different projects and funding that is needed and you can see photos of the project if you donate.
We’re lucky to be involved with a company like Kia and we can’t wait to see what the donations will do for the children in these public schools.
