Google will provide content and search-based solutions that will enable the UVO e-services platform to use the maps and other technology in your Kia vehicle. The 2014 Kia Sorento will be the first Kia vehicle to get the new technology and the immediate integration will include Google Maps and Google Places. Having this technology in your car is a huge benefit to drivers because they can now acquire driving directions and locate points of interest easily through their vehicle. Kia Soon to Offer 2nd Generation UVO System

Kia Soon to Offer 2nd Generation UVO System

Bill Jacobs Kia, your Joliet Kia dealership, is excited to share the news of Kia’s new UVO infotainment system.  In past versions, Kia drivers have had the ability to bark out orders to their infotainment system ,paired with their smart-phone, and conduct a wide variety of commands through your own voice. Although Kia is happy with how their old system has worked they are going back to the lab again to create a second-generation UVO infotainment system. The main upgrade to note with this is that it will not require your phone to be 100% functional.

What should be noted first and foremost is that Kia’s Infotainment system uses Windows software as a base system. The new system has been described to resemble that of a tablet.  Users of the infotainment system have the option to pick from a plethora of icons and screens with a single finger-tip swipe. The system will be 100% voice controlled and will also allow users to download specific applications that users find intriguing and/or interesting.  It is believed that the new UVO system would be able to seize information off of a smart-phone as well, creating convenience for drivers.

The big selling point about this new system developed by Kia is that it will be implemented worldwide, as opposed to the first UVO infotainment system which was solely developed and used in the United States. The one big selling point, and plus, is that this system will offer more usability and offer a more user-friendly experience as opposed to the first system.  This upgrade in technology is one reason why Kia Motors has show almost exponential growth over the past five years.  With a constant hunger for excellence Kia Motors strives to be the best and looks to set the standard in the auto industry.

Bill Jacobs Kia, your premiere Kia dealership in Joliet, will have a wide variety of vehicles that are infused with the new infotainment system once it is released.  On our lot now we have a wide variety of new and used cars in Joliet, and offer a one-of-a-kind buying experience that you can’t find ANYWHERE else.  Make the right choice and come to Bill Jacobs Kia today, and get the car you deserve.
